This restored grassland complex has prairie, wetlands, open ponds, oak savannas, shrublands and woodlands. We'll look for the many grassland birds here in May, including 10 sparrow species, Bobolinks, Eastern Meadowlarks, and Wrens along with Warblers and check the ponds for herons and shorebirds.
We’ll meet in the parking lot at the end of Eagle Ridge Dr. Map.
The walk is on a paved path with some moderate inclines. There’s a porta potty by the parking lot.
The bird hike is free and open to everyone. New birders are welcome! No registration required.
Leaders: Linda Hickey and Marlys Oosting
