We’ll start this field trip at McClaughrey Springs to look for early warblers and other spring migrants, seven species of woodpeckers that frequent the woods, and more. Then on to Little Red Schoolhouse to see if the Ospreys have returned to the nesting platform and look for ducks, warblers, sparrows, woodpeckers, and other preserve residents. The walks at both preserves are on natural surfaces (wood chip paths and dirt trails). New birders are welcome!

Meet in the parking lot at McClaughrey Springs Woods. From there, we’ll caravan to Little Red Schoolhouse.

The bird walk is free and open to everyone. However, PREREGISTRATION is required and groups are limited to 8 people per leader due to COVID-19 precautions. The number of leaders per trip field varies.
