Winter provides a great opportunity to view waterfowl when numerous species that breed in Canada and the Arctic travel here to hang out for the winter. Bob will help you prepare for winter waterfowl viewing by reviewing many of the species that visit northern Illinois and providing some tips on how to recognize them. He’ll also share his knowledge on when each of these species is likely to be around and some of the best places to find them.
Bob Bryerton is a Naturalist and Nature Guide that has led bird hikes and provided Instruction to groups in the Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana area for over 20 years. He has participated and coordinated many bird monitoring projects, including those focused on Eastern Bluebirds and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.
Everyone is welcome to attend this program!
