Watch up close as volunteers from Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders capture and band hummingbirds and learn about their banding projects. The banding sessions are part of Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Hummingbird Fest at the nature center. The banding is sponsored by Thorn Creek Audubon.

Banding session attendance is limited to allow optimum viewing of the birds and banding. Be sure to check in upon arrival to get your free ticket to one of the banding sessions, which will begin every half-hour starting at 2 p.m.
