The Thorn Creek Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society and an affiliate of the Illinois Audubon Society.
The Society is active in the Thorn Creek Ecosystem Partnership and the Bird Conservation Network.
We also work with the Chicago Wilderness, Bartel Grassland and the Thorn Creek Nature Center in all things bird related.
Our mission is to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of birds, to educate adults and children concerning our natural environment, to preserve, protect and restor wildlife habitat, and create awareness of local conservation issues.
